Cover Letter

The combination of scientific research, engineering and consulting coincides with my technical and social interests. As a scientific researcher, I would like to gain better understanding in natural hazards; as an engineer, I would like to target the issues of basin management, water user associations, ground stability, risk assessment and protection measures among others and as a consultant I would like to cooperate with public authorities and institutions to organize the implementation of projects and mitigation strategies.

After gaining experiences in local engineering offices in Switzerland and Luxembourg (Impact-Concept SA. and Holmalux), I am very interested in working in a internationally represented institution covering engineer related sectors such as water resources and hazard management. As I grew up and studied in Europe, I was very conscientized to the authorities and environment in these countries and my personal objective is to expand my knowledge gained during academic, professional and private life to a different cultural background. In that perspective, I completed a three-month traineeship on a research site in the Alto Beni, Bolivia and got very interested in the South American working environment and culture.

Career Objectives

My interests are in gaining further understanding of hydrological processes in the subsurface and it's related physical processes.
